Epoxy is a custom order, and may be subject to unpredictable lead times.

Available Colors

ADVANTAGES

  • Highest chemical resistance for long lasting visual appeal
  • Low lifetime total cost of ownership
  • Since epoxy holds up under a wide variety of activities, it offers high flexibility for labs which may be re-tasked later

Phenolic Resin Countertops

Phenolic resin is well suited to numerous industrial and laboratory applications. Phenolic resin is a non-absorbent, moderately chemically resistant, heat resistant, moisture resistant, easy to clean, extremely hard material.

Standard Phenolic Resin Tops

The core is always black. Formaspace stocks phenolic resin in multiple colors, and can special order custom colors on request. The standard colors are black, gray, and white.

Available Colors

Colorcore Phenolic Resin Tops

Most phenolic countertops are black through the core. New colorcore offerings allow you to have a phenolic countertop with more variety in solid colored tops through the entire work surface. Colorcore phenolic is slightly more resistant to heat and impact compared to standard phenolic resin tops. The available core colors are dark gray and light gray.

AVAILABLE CORE COLORS

ADVANTAGES

  • Totally nonabsorbent
  • Unique appearance
  • Very popular in hematology, urology, and other healthcare applications

High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)

Despite its tough sounding name, high density polyethylene (HDPE) is soft compared to other surface materials. That makes it great for working on soft or delicate products which may scratch against harder surfaces. HDPE is often used in laboratory environments due to its lack of porosity and resistance to many solvents. It is also commonly used in material handling to protect delicate products from scratches.

Available Colors

ADVANTAGES

  • Very soft
  • Nonabsorbent
  • Resistant to many solvents
  • Economical alternative to other specialty surfaces
