This custom Benchmarx™ was created for a jewelry equipment supplier located in Albuquerque, New Mexico as a budget-friendly solution to a flow rack. The bench features hydraulics that support height adjustability of all 6 legs, and a drafting table top that is connected to the right-hand side of the workbench. This function increases productivity because it keeps the operator from having to go back and forth moving totes. The totes slide down the drafting table incrementally.

This shipping station is custom designed to integrate with the present flow racks. The Formaspace team also performed a rapid plant assessment prior to designing these benches.

Our client needed to integrate a flow rack to their material handling process for improving efficiency and throughput. Formaspace engineers custom designed a unique flow rack for their specific product handling stream. Products come down the industrial chutes from the top of the flow rack and line up just above the standing height work surface. Once the Material Handling Operator completes their task on the work surface, they move the product to the conveyor behind the flow rack via the industrial chute located below the work surface. Our client now has a flexible, modular material handling operation. They can easily relocate their flow racks for future facility modifications.
