Project Manager

Here we grow again! Formaspace seeks an experienced professional who have demonstrated an ability to deliver results in a custom manufacturing environment. Our Industrial Design & Engineering Team is seeking an individual to join our team who will be located in the Tech Ridge area of Austin, Texas. As a Project Manager at Formaspace, you will be a key member of organization managing internal and external project execution. A background in Project Planning principles, MS Project or other PM software in a custom furniture design is advantageous (furniture background is not a requirement).

Daily Job Tasks:

    • Working with our Sales, Design, and Operations Teams as well as Formaspace clients to organize, plan, schedule, and manage a variety of run the business, grow the business, and maintain the business projects.
    • Comfortable and experienced managing multiple project concurrently in a fast paced environment.

Who we seek:

    • PMBOK exposure and methodologies utilized for consistent and successful project execution.
    • The ability to work with a multitude of stakeholders (internal and external) to achieve plans that deliver on-time, on-budget, with high quality.
    • Strong communication, facilitation, and cooperation skills are a must for this mission critical role.
    • Preferred experience working in and supporting a custom scientific, technical, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
    • High School or equivalent is required. Associates or Bachelor’s degrees in technical fields are preferred.
    • PMP certification desired.
    • Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce.com, Sugar, or equivalent is beneficial.
    • Must be detailed oriented, very organized, creative and enjoy working as a team.
    • Demonstrates a high level of integrity, character, and commitment to succeed in a team environment.

Industrial Design Engineer

Formaspace seeks an experienced professional who have demonstrated an ability to deliver results in a custom manufacturing environment. Our Industrial Design & Engineering Team is seeking an individual to join our team who will be located in the Tech Ridge area of Austin, Texas. As an Industrial Designer at Formaspace, you will be a key member of the ID&E Team responsible for supporting the day to day creation and modification of standard, modified, and custom quotation and work order CAD data. A background in Inventor, Programming, scheduling, and custom furniture design is advantageous.

Daily Job Tasks:

    • Working with our Sales and Design Team members to generate CAD data (3d & 2d) to support quotations, actual production orders, and NC programming.
    • Working directly with our off-site ID&E team members to prioritize and schedule CAD data creation activities.
    • Flexibility to assist our Senior Industrial Designers with custom product design work when workload demands it.
    • Supporting our Sales and Design Team with product costing for new product introductions, quotations, as well as modified and custom products.
    • Material/Hardware sourcing when project needs require a non-standard solution.

Who we seek:

    • Preferred experience working in and supporting a custom scientific, technical, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
    • Prefer at least 2 years of CAD/CAM experience, preferably Inventor or Solid Works.
    • High School or equivalent is required. Associates or Bachelor’s degrees in technical fields are preferred.
    • Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce.com, Sugar, or equivalent is beneficial.
    • Light project management experience preferred.
    • Must be detailed oriented, very organized, creative and enjoy working as a team.
