Formaspace Visited by US Trade Ambassador

Austin, Texas, March 2nd – United States Trade Ambassador Ron Kirk visited Formaspace Friday in an effort to highlight American ingenuity and the value of free trade.

Formaspace has created partnerships with several clients in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and mainland China which allow Formaspace to connect better with Asia-Pacific clients as well as U.S.-based clients with an Asian presence. Currently, 15-20% of Formaspace products are exported. According to Formaspace CEO Jeff Turk, gaining more access to foreign markets, especially in the Asia-Pacific region, will have a big impact on the company’s ability to continue growing steadily.

“We are very excited to welcome Ambassador Kirk to Formaspace.” says Formaspace Jeff Turk. “We welcome his efforts to push though free trade agreements, particularly in Korea, where we hope to focus more of our sales efforts in the future.”

Ambassador Kirk later met with Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell and a number of dignitaries where he highlighted Formaspace as an example of a U.S.-based, globally competitive company based in the heart of Texas, America’s largest exporting state.

Formaspace was honored to visit with Trade Representative Kirk during his time in Austin and eagerly await the decision of Congress this spring.
